The Oil Change Light Reset Honda Civic 2020 will need to be performed after every oil change. If it is not reset the system will be unable to properly track when your next oil change is due.

Below is the procedure for the 2020 Honda Civic. Follow the steps below to reset the oil life monitor after each oil change.

Oil Change Light Reset Honda Civic 2020 Procedure

1. Turn the ignition switch or start button to ON (II) with the engine off.
2. Press the SELECT/RESET knob (on instrument cluster – right side) repeatedly until the engine oil life is displayed
3. Press and hold the SELECT/RESET knob for about 10 seconds.
4. The engine oil life and the maintenance item codes will blink to show it is in reset mode.
5. If you wish to reset all the maintenance items shown on the display, press and hold the SEL/RESET knob for 5 seconds or more.
6. If you reset each maintenance item individually, select an item (complete list of maintenance main items and sub items) you wish to reset by rotating the SEL/RESET knob, and press and hold the knob for 5 seconds or more.
7. The maintenance item codes will disappear and the engine oil life will reset to 100%.
8. If the engine oil life indicator does not reset, repeat the steps.

OR

1. Turn the ignition switch or start button to ON (II) with the engine off.
2. If system messages are displayed, press the INFOMATION switch or Audio Remote/Multi-Information Display Switch to cancel the display until the MAINTENANCE MINDER icon is displayed.
3. Press the SOURCE/ENTER button.
4. Display shows the remaining engine oil life.
5. Press and hold the SOURCE/ENTER button for 10 seconds or more.
6. The MAINTENANCE RESET mode appears on the multi-information display.
7. If you wish to reset all the maintenance items shown on the display, select “All Due Items” by pressing the Audio Remote/Multi-Information Display Switch and press the SOURCE/ENTER button.
8. If you reset each maintenance item individually, select an item (complete list of maintenance main items and sub items) you wish to reset by pressing the Audio Remote/Multi-Information Display Switch and press the SOURCE/ENTER button.
9. The maintenance item codes will disappear, and the engine oil life will reset to 100%.
10. If the engine oil life indicator does not reset, repeat the steps.
